Moving away from the main cities and towns, there’s plenty of hidden gems tucked away. In Whitby you’ll find unique locally handcrafted jewellery made from jet while in Bradford there’s the country’s biggest Asian department store, Bombay stores. One place off the beaten track is Hebden Bridge, what is officially known as the funkiest town in Europe and the best town in Britain for independent shops!
