Hull & East Yorkshire

Located in the attractive Museums Quarter, the Hull and East Riding Museum boasts some of the most spectacular natural history and archaeology displays in Britain. From majestic mammoths to Saxon invaders, visitors can look forward to an experience that is unique, educational and - above all - fun.

The Streetlife Museum tells the story of 200 years of transport in Hull. Old and young alike will enjoy climbing aboard the old corpoation tram, getting their bones shaken on the simulated mailcoach ride and taking in the sights, sounds and smells of a steam locomotive goods station.

Formerly the Town Docks offices, the impressive building of the Hull Maritime Museum now houses a fine collection of paintings, artifacts and models, as well as unusual whaling, fishing and trawling exhibits.

Why not follow an English Heritage Accedited Guide around Hull, Beverley or Bridlington and really discover the truth behind such places (for further information contact the Tourist Information Centre).

Sewerby Hall and The Deep are also unmissable attractions and cater for groups.
