The North Yorkshire Year of Adventure highlights a vast range of ideas and possibilities for what to do in outdoor Yorkshire.

The North Yorkshire Year of Adventure is your guide to exploring the region's outdoors and lets you know where to go, what to do and who to contact in your pursuit of outdoor adventure. Highlighting the countless possibilities Yorkshire holds as an outdoor adventure destination, there is special focus on more accessible adventures like walking, cycling and running, and also an introduction to more specialist experiences including climbing, caving, canoeing and horse trekking.

What better way to explore Yorkshire than to discover something new every week of the year? With 52 weeks and 52 different adventures you are sure to find something new and exciting to enjoy.

Each adventure is colour coded so you know how easy it is to participate, and you can be sure to have the necesary level of fitness to ensure you will enjoy the experience to its fullest. Green - easy; Blue - moderate; Red - difficult; Black - extreme.

Running across YorkshireIn many cases you don't have to be specialist at the activity - you simply have to have the passion to try it and enjoy being in the great Yorkshire outdoors. There are many clubs and instructors just waiting to show you the ropes and help you develop the skills you need.
