The Experience
To use the climbing wall you need to be able to demonstrate knowledge and competence, as Inglesport Wall is an unmanned facility, and offers no supervision or tuition and as such is not suitable for novice climbers. No one under the age of 8 is allowed into the climbing wall building.

However, there are climbs to suit all abilities at the wall, and it does make a good venue for instructing groups for properly qualified instructors. There are also plenty of challenging routes for experienced climbers.

If you would like to learn the skills to use the climbing wall you can find a local instructor through the search facility on the home page.

There is a large bouldering wall where you can climb with nothing more than a pair of rock boots and a chalk bag, with large mats to land on. To climb on the main walls you will need a rope, harness, belay plate as well as the knowledge of how to use the kit. All climbs are equipped with quick draws.

Have a go
Indoor climbing is a great winter activity when the weather stops you doing activities outdoors. It also makes the steaming mug of tea and bacon butty at the café, even better.
