New attractions and firm favourites are on the timetable for the event which combines "hands on" activities with exciting entertainment, a superb cookery theatre, plenty of stands for early Christmas shopping and of course dozens of animals competing in the classes.
For the first time there are horse and pony classes and master classes run by international show jumper Graham Fletcher, there's a sausage tasting competition and also new for 2008 is the Stray FM Motor Show featuring on and off-road vehicles - sure to be a draw for petrol-heads and non-car buffs alike!
The cattle and sheep are back - all groomed to perfection ready for the eagle eyes of the judges, and also featured will be Dog Agility Demonstrations which proved so popular last year and classes for pigeons and poultry.
Demonstrations in the cookery theatre with some of the region's top chefs will get everyone's tastebuds tingling, and there will be an amazing array of fruit, vegetables, flowers and honey - all competing for the coveted first prize awards!
If shopping is what you love then you'll find stands with everything from delicious regional food to fantastic fashions to stunning jewellery. And with 90% of the event under cover, the weather isn't an issue!
Countryside Live is organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. The doors open at 9am each day, and car parking is free and extensive. More information can be found on the Countryside Live website
