Part of Stockeld Park's Halloween Adventure Season. The new Witches Hat is just one of the ‘venues' where you can join our host of storytellers in the Enchanted Forest for intriguing stories for all ages.
Yummy Yorkshire, the award-winning artisan ice cream producer based near Huddersfield, is holding a free Halloween party. Taking place inside the Yummy Yorkshire barn, there will also be a 'spooky' disco complete with disco lights. Freshly barbequed Hot Dogs, Burgers & steak sandwiches will be on sale as will some special Bonfire Ice Cream flavours - choose from Toffee Apple, Yorkshire Parkin and Gingerbread. There will also be a bar for parents serving Farmer'Blonde beer and wine.
Stockeld Park's premier scare attraction returns where the woodland is transformed into three truly terrifying zones...only the brave will make it through Fright Night! Fright Night is aimed at adults and older children (from at least 8 years upwards).
With Halloween just round the corner, we're getting youngsters ready for a scary night of trick or treating with spine-tingling craft workshops and a Dracula-themed show spectacular on Tuesday 29 October. Also during half term, on Friday 1 November, to celebrate the launch of her new magic, mayhem and mirth children's book, author Gianna Hartwright will be signing and selling copies in the centre for the reduced price of £7.00 (normal price £8.99). A KS2 education pack accompanies the book.
The Thackary Museum was originally a workhouse for the poor and afflicted and is now home to the body of a witch - killed for her satanic rituals - imagine what evil lurks there now. The museum opens its doors for one night for those who wish to subject themselves to the malignant spirits and a fright-filled night.
6pm Gates open to Spooky Shibden Park, followed by Spooktacular fireworks at 7.30 p.m. The walking Ghost Tour starts immediately after the fireworks. Entertainment, ghost train, rides and refreshments are available from 6pm onwards (not included in admission price).
Eureka! is well and truly getting into the Halloween spirit this October half-term. Join the Scooby gang as they solve a series of mysteries. Free with standard admission or your Eureka! Annual Pass..
Spooky goings on at Standedge Tunnel! A range of Halloween themed activities happening at Standedge throughout the half term week. Look out for Fright Night on 31 October too. A spooky walk from Marsden Train Station to the visitor centre, followed by a spooky boat trip into the tunnel...there may be spooky goings on so beware!!!
The place will be buzzing and the atmosphere amazing. This is such a feel good family event with children, parents and grandparents all out together, MAGICAL!!! Watch out his year for Spookley the Square Pumpkin.

Calling all ghosts, ghouls and goblins, come and join us for a spooktacular evening at Victoria Hall, Saltaire this Halloween with live music, a buffet from Don't Tell Titus bar and restaurant, entertainment, fun and games... don't dare be late!

Join the Discover Huddersfield team at our pop up stall in the LBT courtyard from 12-3pm and get involved in our outdoor pumpkin carving that will coincide with the 2pm family-friendly Shuddersfield Ghost Trail. For the 7pm & 9pm tours, join Rebecca Legg who will be dressed in her cape and have her Lantern and yours too!; ready for that spooky stroll around the town.
