Three Coach Tours

(1) Tour 1A "The Turner Trail" and Herriot "All Creatures Great and Small"
Picking up in Pocklington, Wilberfoss, and York, we travel to Leeming and board the Wensleydale Railway to Redmire, then reboard our coach which takes you on a day tour through the beautiful Dales scenery, visiting sites of JMW Turner's paintings and the countryside of James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small". Returning on the train to Leeming to be returned to your pick up point. Price includes all coach travel and the Wensleydale Railway. Return Fare Adult £20, Child £15

(2) Tour 2B "Wensleydale Railway" and "Vintage Bus" Ride to Hawes for 3 1/4 hr stop
Picking up in Pocklington, Wilberfoss, and York, we travel to Leeming and board the Wensleydale Railway to Redmire, before boarding a Vintage Bus and travelling to Hawes for a 3 1/4 hr stay.  You will have a chance to visit Outhwaites Ropemakers in Hawes and the Wensleydale Creamery to see Wensleydale cheese being produced. You then rejoin the Vintage Bus to return to Redmire, transfer to the train and then rejoin our coach at Leeming to head home. Price includes all coach travel and the Wensleydale Railway return fare. Return Fare Adult £20, Child £15 Vintage Bus Extra. Vintage Bus: Adults with bus passes shown on the day free of charge, otherwise £6 return (Redmire/Hawes). Child £3 return (Redmire/Hawes) (fares payable on the bus to driver).

(3) Tour 3C "Wensleydale Railway" & Leyburn Market
Picking up in Pocklington, Wilberfoss, and York, our coach takes you to Leeming to board the Wensleydale Railway to Leyburn, where you can spend time at Leyburn's weekly market and enjoy the town before rejoining the railway at 16:39hrs to Leeming and reboard the coach to head home. Price includes coach travel and railway return fare Leeming/Leyburn. If the weather is inclement, you are welcome to continue through to Redmire and join Tour 1A at no extra charge. Return Fare Adult £20, Child £15

Standedge Tunnel & Visitor Centre is a great introduction to the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, a waterway of startling contrasts, from tranquil countryside to dramatic mills. The canal reopened in 2001 following a 20 year restoration programme and the tunnel is the highest, longest and deepest canal tunnel in the country. Enjoy an atmospheric guided boat trip into the tunnel and wonder at the work that went into this major feat of engineering.  Special prices are available for pre-booked groups of 15 people and over and the group leader will also get a free boat trip into the tunnel! Special prices are also available on school trips. The adjacent reservoir site offers opportunities for river and pond investigation work. Equipment may be borrowed from Standedge Tunnel Visitor Centre, a £20 refundable deposit is charged.

Alternatively, visit Kirklees Light Railway, and enjoy a steam-pulled seven mile round trip from our main station area at Clayton West through the Yorkshire Countryside to our Station at Shelley n West through the Yorkshire Countryside to our Station at Shelley. Clayton West was once the end of the line on the branch, but it now acts as the starting point for the Kirklees Light Railway with a free car park, toilets, café area and much more.
