Cycling in Yorkshire offers a huge variety of options, from country lanes to singletrack.
The region is crisscrossed with national cycleways following old railway tracks, custom built paths and quiet leafy lanes. The trails across the Dales and Moors offer endless cycling possibilities for the adventurous.
You'll also find purpose built mountain bike trails in Stainburn Forest and Dalby Forest, where you can test your skills on Dalby's world class competition route - the challenging waymarked course from April's UCI Mountain Bike Cross Country World Cup is now open for all expert riders to have a go!

- White Rose Cycle Route: Journey from Hull, along the river at York before climbing onto the Moors
- Calder Valley Cycleway: traffic free, easygoing route through the outstanding scenery of the Calder Valley, linking the busy towns of Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge and Mytholmroyd.
- Moors to Sea Cycle Route: linking Scarborough, Pickering and Great Ayton
- Trans Pennine Trail: an off-road route from Liverpool to Hull, with family friendly sections
- Walney to Wear & Whitby: another coast to coast opportunity

Try mountain biking from a number of centres, or strike out on your own.
