The Coniston Hotel, Skipton
Experience DaysWe are not open to the public so you get an exclusive experience when you choose The Coniston Falconry Centre.We take up to a maximum of 6 people on our experience day so you can be sure your day will be personal and intimate.Designed to be as hands on as possible you will be handling and flying the birds within an hour of arriving at the centre.When you choose one of our experience days you are guaranteed top level teaching with an experienced instructor.Your instructor will go into physiology, psychology and biology of the birds as well as weight management, captive breeding and artificial insemmination and much more. Our experience days make perfect gifts for birthdays or Christmas. Full Day ExperienceAfter bacon sandwich and tea, coffee at the hotel make your way to the falconry barn we will begin the day with a brief history of falconry, introduction to the birds and then a question and answer session.We will then move on to flying the birds, where each guest will handle and fly birds throughout the morning.At lunch time you will make the short drive to The Coniston Hotel where you will enjoy a delicious lunch, after which you will continue to learn about and get to know these fascinating creatures.
