Dutch house Ecological sculpture garden is designed by Sjaak Kastelijn, Gardens manager of the York museum Gardens. The garden is set on a 1.6 acre site with lovely views to the surrounding fields and the hilltop village of Crayke. The River Foss meanders through the site. Because of its natural setting in a rural area and so close to the river the garden is a haven for wildlife. The garden is an important element in the cohesion between art and nature, and an educational opportunity for visitors to learn more about sustainable gardening and gardening to increase wildlife and biodiversity. In our relaxing, child friendly art café you can sit down, relax and enjoy a healthy homemade lunch. We serve a fine selection of teas, coffees, homemade cakes and Dutch specialities. In our farm cottage we can accommodate you in a spacious and very comfortable double room with twin beds.
