1 Your Account

1.1 Access to the Website and Services is not authorised by any other person or entity using your User ID other than you and you are responsible for preventing such unauthorised use. Individuals and entities whose privilege to access the Website or use the Services has previously been terminated by Yorkshire.com may not register for an account, nor may you designate any such individuals to use your account on your behalf.

1.2 Yorkshire.com relies on User IDs to determine whether users accessing the Website and using our Services are authorised to do so. If someone accesses our Website or Services using a User ID that we have issued to you, we will assume that access has been made by you. You are solely responsible for any and all access to the Website or use of the Services by persons using your User ID. Please notify us immediately if you become aware that your User ID is being used without authorisation.

2 Security and Privacy

2.1 Our secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorised third party to intercept the data. 2.2 Information such as credit card information provided in connection with the purchase of a Deal is maintained with appropriate privacy and security protections. No sensitive information (including credit card details) is held on the Website.

2.3 You agree that information provided to us in connection with the purchase of a Deal, other than your credit card information, may be disclosed by us to the Merchant for their commercial purposes including for the purposes of providing the Deal to you.

City Centre Shopping

  • Harvey Nichols, LeedsHarvey Nichols' first store outside London opened in the historic Victoria Quarter of Leeds in 1996. The store, with five floors has become a landmark destination in the city centre.
  • Birds Yard, Leeds - Cited as one of Europe's most unique boutiques, the eclectic Birds Yard houses everything from high-end vintage womenswear and accessories, an in-house stylist, bespoke dressmaking and tailoring, 20+ jewellery designers and two qualified milliners!
  • Harrogate - Cosmopolitan Harrogate is known as  the 'Antiques and Art Centre of the North', and also boasts a great mixture of shopping, from designer to highstreet. Head to the Montpellier Quarter for exclusive shops, pavement cafes, bars and award-winning restaurants. The surrounding gardens, charming lampposts, floral hanging baskets and cobbled streets make for a truly traditional atmosphere.

  • Salt's Mill, Saltaire - A truly different shopping experience! With art galleries, shops, a cafe and restaurant all under one roof, you can soak up some culture while you contemplate your next purchase. Located inside a former mill built by Sir Titus Salt, the building also boasts an array of paintings by local artist David Hockney.

Markets

Yorkshire's city markets are wonderful places to visit, where you'll find everything from fresh foods to fabric, clothing to crockery, and everything else in between. Visit them once and you'll want to come back again and again!

  • Kirkgate Market, Leeds – Over 800 traders are housed in the impressive Edwardian buildings. Outside is the lively open air market where Michael Marks first opened his Penny Bazaar (1884) which was to lead, ultimately, to the foundation of Marks & Spencer.
  • Bradford and District Markets - Three indoor markets (two in Bradford and one in Keighley) and two outdoor Markets, one each in Shipley and in Bingley. There is also a successful Wholesale Market - St James's Wholesale Market, as well as plenty of popular themed outdoor market events.
  • Otley - situated in the beautiful and undisturbed countryside of Lower Wharfedale yet is only ten miles from the dynamic city of Leeds. Steeped in history, Otley lies on the boundary between North and West Yorkshire and has much to interest the visitor. Main market on Friday and Saturday, small market on Tuesday. 
  • Pudsey - The market was recently re-built and has traders selling items ranging form groceries to electrical goods, crafts to fashion.
  • Yeadon - Yeadon Market is held in the Town Hall square every Monday and Friday between 8.30am to 3.30pm and offers a wide range of food and household goods.
  • Todmorden - Originally opened in 1802, and refurbished in 2003, this popular open market is situated directly adjacent to the market hall, car park and Todmorden Bus Station and is therefore easily accessible by public transport and car.
  • Halifax - The award winning market is open six days a week with some 125 market stalls.
  • Hebden Bridge - Set in stunning countryside, Hebden Bridge is a popular, bustling tourist centre. The Hebden Bridge Open Air Market sells second hand goods on a Wednesday and food and general retail goods on a Thursday.
