A new form of golf is born at Moor Allerton Golf Club, and is now through to the final of Barclays Bank's Take One Small Step Competition.
Kwik Golf is a new, exciting game, primarily aimed at attracting children and young people from all social and economic backgrounds to golf.
Developed in the UK, not to change the existing game, but to work alongside it, Kwik Golf encourages children to move away from their sofas and electronic games and into a more challenging and energetic hobby.
Played over three or six holes, teams of two play against the clock. Each second taken is one point and each shot taken is ten points.
Players tee off simultaneously, then race to complete each hole as quickly as they can. The clock stops when the second ball enters the hole.
After each hole the team is given a minimum three minute rest, allowing them time to catch their breath, select the clubs they require for the next hole, and for the game in front to clear the green.
Upon completion of their round, the total points for all holes are added together to give the team their score with handicap adjustment.
If the team at Kwik Golf win the Barclays competition, they will use the prize money to help get 30,000+ school kids trying the game of golf.
Please help Kwik Golf to succeed by voting for them to win.
