1 Your Account

1.1 Access to the Website and Services is not authorised by any other person or entity using your User ID other than you and you are responsible for preventing such unauthorised use. Individuals and entities whose privilege to access the Website or use the Services has previously been terminated by Yorkshire.com may not register for an account, nor may you designate any such individuals to use your account on your behalf.

1.2 Yorkshire.com relies on User IDs to determine whether users accessing the Website and using our Services are authorised to do so. If someone accesses our Website or Services using a User ID that we have issued to you, we will assume that access has been made by you. You are solely responsible for any and all access to the Website or use of the Services by persons using your User ID. Please notify us immediately if you become aware that your User ID is being used without authorisation.

2 Security and Privacy

2.1 Our secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorised third party to intercept the data. Your browser will confirm that you are shopping in a secure environment by showing either a locked padlock icon or an image of a padlock next to the payment details in the relevant area of the Website.

2.2 Information such as credit card information provided in connection with the purchase of a Deal is maintained with appropriate privacy and security protections. No sensitive information (including credit card details) is held on the Website.

2.3 You agree that information provided to us in connection with the purchase of a Deal, other than your credit card information, may be disclosed by us to the Merchant for their commercial purposes including for the purposes of providing the Deal to you.

You don't need to go to Lapland this year for a true Christmas experience. In November, when Santa and his reindeer arrive at Stockeld Park, the magic of The Christmas Adventure begins, with Christmas events and activities to inspire children of all ages, starting with the Christmas Adventure Firework Displays on 4 November. lluminated unicorns grace the Enchanted Forest, while angels glow on the beautiful lake. Not far away people skate on the rink at dusk surrounded by towering trees, ski on the nordic cross country ski trail, or lose yourself in our huge illuminated hedge maze. Inside in the warmth people sip on hot chocolate loaded with creamy marshmallows, while others visit Santa in his magical grotto.

New Year's Revolution Cyclocross race, Centre Vale Park, Todmorden, West Yorkshire, 2 January 2012

Races for everyone from Under 12s to the over 50... Or just come and watch. Todmorden Community Brass Band will be playing during the racing.  There'll be food and drink available and a chance to watch fit people having a hard time.  What could be better? Soreen Stanbury Splash, Penistone Hill Country Park, nr Haworth, 22 January 2012

The 28th annual Soreen Stanbury Splash fell run is notorious amongst some of the UK's finest fell runners.  The 12km race includes 1,200 feet of climbing across the Yorkshire hills.  Named the malt loaf run, competitors are fuelled with plenty of malt loaf to help them get through the race, and no matter what the weather, the runners are guaranteed to be out in full force.

Over seventy of the best adventure, travel and extreme sports films hand-picked for you from around the world.  Screened over one weekend at the art deco Showroom Cinema in Sheffield - UK's biggest independent cinema outside London.  Also talks and lectures on epic climbs, runs and rides by world-class adventurers, activities, live music, kit sale, competitions, a locally produced festival brew and a cracking vibe. Dentdale Run, Dent, Yorkshire Dales, 10 March 2012

A 14.2 mile road race staged on the lanes around Dentdale, following a figure-of-eight course it winds up hill and down dale, starting and finishing at Dent Primary school. This popular road race has been attracting over 350 runners for the last 25 years with stunning scenery and not a car in sight. It's one of the most scenic road races in the area, and although only 14 miles long, it is regarded as a very tough circuit. It's certainly up hill and down Dale, with views of Whernside & Great Combe often covered in snow at this time of year, and with support from the locals you will receive encouragement whatever level you are. The race is sponsored by Dent Brewery with all the profit going to the local primary school.

Wuthering Hike - Haworth Hobble, Haworth, 10 March 2012
Traverse gritstone moors around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge - 4,400 ft of ascent/descent, an event for teams of two and also a solo class. The 31 mile route is also the first 2012 Short Race in the UK Ultra-running Championships. Full details and entry forms can be found here.

Hardmoors 55, Helmsley, North York Moors National Park, 17 March 2012
This 55 mile run follows the beautiful Cleveland Way route, starting at the White Horse at Sutton Bank before heading towards Saltburn, passing through and along the crest of the North York Moors. Find out more.

Map Reading Courses in the Yorkshire Dales

Join Mark Reid, author of 'The Inn Way' guidebooks and Mountain Leader, on a 1-day map reading, navigation, walking and outdoor skills courses in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Courses cost £49 per person and includes a full day's navigation training, course notes, the use of Berghaus gear if required and an OS map and compass for the day.

Boots and Steam Walking Festival, Pickering, 21-23 April 2012
