1 Your Account

1.1 Access to the Website and Services is not authorised by any other person or entity using your User ID other than you and you are responsible for preventing such unauthorised use. Individuals and entities whose privilege to access the Website or use the Services has previously been terminated by Yorkshire.com may not register for an account, nor may you designate any such individuals to use your account on your behalf.

1.2 Yorkshire.com relies on User IDs to determine whether users accessing the Website and using our Services are authorised to do so. If someone accesses our Website or Services using a User ID that we have issued to you, we will assume that access has been made by you. You are solely responsible for any and all access to the Website or use of the Services by persons using your User ID. Please notify us immediately if you become aware that your User ID is being used without authorisation.

2 Security and Privacy

2.1 Our secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorised third party to intercept the data. 2.2 Information such as credit card information provided in connection with the purchase of a Deal is maintained with appropriate privacy and security protections. No sensitive information (including credit card details) is held on the Website.

The Turner Trails

National Parks and National Trails

Try a TrailA range of walks with maps from the National Trails Try a Trail series can be downloaded here for free.

The North Sea Trail website has a number of wonderful walks to download along the North Yorkshire coast. It's a great way to enjoy the natural and cultural heritage of our fascinating coastline. There are twenty walks for you to enjoy.  These include six linear sections following the Cleveland Way National Trail. 

Yorkshire's National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty have a range of walking routes for you to download, see Forest of Bowland, Howardian Hills, Nidderdale, Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors for more ideas.

Where2Walk features the best 100 walks in the Yorkshire Dales with detailed descriptions, maps and GPS directions on each walk while dogwalksyorkshire.com has an ever expanding directory of dog friendly walks, complete with gpx files for downloading, as well as details of pubs, cafés and accommodation that will welcome you and your pooch.

 

Walks in the Pennines

A Walk with AshleyTake a walk with Ashley Jackson, the famous watercolour artist, as he celebrates his passion for Yorkshire by sharing his vision of the Holme Valley. Ashley invites you to find the hidden gems around the back streets and beautiful landscape surrounding Holmfirth on this 2.5 mile route. 

If you have ever fancied following in an artist's footsteps then this walk is for you, stop at exact locations along the walk to compare the artist's watercolour interpretation and your own. Follow up the steps behind the Church, be lead through back streets with houses nestled into the hill side and out in to open countryside, spotting birds, hamlets, hidden streams and most importantly fantastic views. Download the route here.

Find plenty more routes to download on the South Pennines - Walk Cycle Ride website, a brilliant way to plan your walking across this stunning part of Yorkshire. There's around 200 routes to choose from, with ideas suitable for all ages and abilities. You can choose between a stroll on a canal-side path or an ambitious day hike across the heather moors, where the only sound will be the call of the curlew or the chatter of the red grouse. You can follow in the footsteps of the Bröntes or explore the wooded valleys where poet laureate Ted Hughes grew up.

Yorkshire Wolds

Fairey Dale Credit Natural EnglandDownload over 300 interesting routes passing through the towns, nature reserves, coastal villages and rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds and East Yorkshire on the Walking the Riding website. Most of the walks are short circular ones and can be completed in 2 - 3 hours but there are walks for all ages and abilities.

If you fancy exploring the Yorkshire Wolds even more, you can pick up the new Walk the Wolds pack complete with 15 circular routes, available to buy from Tourist Information Centres in Beverley, Bridlington, Hull and Humber Bridge.

City Trails

Visit York has produced a series of nine walking trails for the city of York, including Medieval Churches, a Railway Heritage Trail, A Rowntree Trail - taking visitors on a tour of the city's chocolate heritage, a Roman Trail and many more.
