1 Your Account

Cycling Routes

The National Trails Try a Trail series includes a number of routes suitable for mountain bikes, which can be downloaded here.

Find more routes on the South Pennines - Walk Cycle Ride website. With plenty of great routes to download, here's a brilliant way to plan your road cycling and mountain biking across this stunning part of Yorkshire. Two national cycle routes pass through this area, winding along quiet country lanes and byways, whilst Pennine cloughs and moorland bridleways offer some superb mountain biking adventures.

There's also the Moor to Sea Cycle network which links over 100 miles of quiet lanes and rights of way across the North York Moors National Park. It can be cycled in its entirety in a week but there's also plenty of sections suitable for day rides or less. Find route information here. Big Skies Bike Rides

Download Big Skies Bike Rides that take in the rolling chalk hills, long views and, of course, big skies of the Yorkshire Wolds. There are eight OS-mapped circular day rides on quiet roads and country lanes. Many of the circular rides are accessible by train.
