1 Your Account

1.1 Access to the Website and Services is not authorised by any other person or entity using your User ID other than you and you are responsible for preventing such unauthorised use. Individuals and entities whose privilege to access the Website or use the Services has previously been terminated by Yorkshire.com may not register for an account, nor may you designate any such individuals to use your account on your behalf.

1.2 Yorkshire.com relies on User IDs to determine whether users accessing the Website and using our Services are authorised to do so. If someone accesses our Website or Services using a User ID that we have issued to you, we will assume that access has been made by you. You are solely responsible for any and all access to the Website or use of the Services by persons using your User ID. Please notify us immediately if you become aware that your User ID is being used without authorisation.

2 Security and Privacy

2.1 Our secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorised third party to intercept the data. Watersports Events and Water Festivals

Yorkshire's waterways and coast play host to a whole range of events and annual festivals throughout the year.

Water events coming next year

European Open Beach Championship, Bridlington, 2-4 March 2012
Now in its 19th year and the biggest three-day fishing festival in Europe, this Bridlington based bash attracts stars of shore angling from all over the UK and Europe to Yorkshire's coast.

Whitby Sea Angling Festivals, Whitby Harbour
The Whitby Charter Skippers Association hold three hugely popular annual boat-fishing events open to all young and old. With big cash prizes up for grabs, it's worth having a go.

Filey Sailing Club Regatta, Filey, North Yorkshire, June annually

Leeds Waterfront Festival and Dragon Boat Spectacle, June annually
Features bands, performers, an arts market, boat parade and much more.  Taking place at Clarence Dock, Brewery Wharf, Thwaite Mills and Granary Wharf. See the fiery dragons charge up the waterways in the annual Leeds Community Foundation dragon boat race, raising money for local charities.

North Sea Yacht Race, Scarborough Harbour, July annually
Scarborough Yacht Club's annual Blue Ribbon event, the course from Scarborough to Ijmuiden, Holland, is a distance of around 210 nautical miles, and a good test of seamanship, where competitors encounter the rigours of the North Sea  Thousands of spectators watch the spectacular start from the East Pier.

Whitby Regatta, August annually
Said to be the oldest sea Regatta in England.  Three full days of entertainment for all the family to enjoy, including yacht racing, rowing races, fun fair and various free forms of entertainment around the town of Whitby, finishing with a prize presentation and spectacular firework display!

surfingUK Pro Surf Tour, North Bay, Scarborough, October 2012 (tbc)

After an exciting Round 4 of the UK Prosurf Tour which came to Scarborough's North Bay for the first time in 2011, the tour hopes to return in 2012 with a great surfing and a weekend festival. Enjoy a weekend of skateboarding, BMX & extreme sports, including the Animal Relentless Bike Tour, live music, DJ's, drive-in movies and much much more. This is an Xtreme sports extravaganza not to be missed.
