Barbon is a quiet village, off the main road. You’ll find it close to Kirkby Lonsdale, on the road from Sedbergh, by turning left just before the A683 enters the village of Casterton.

The village is set against the backdrop of the magnificent Barbon Fell, on which the Barbon Hillclimb event takes place, but also a great place to explore on foot – with or without a dog – or on your bike.

In fact, the top road over from Barbon to Dent is one of the best and most scenic drives in England. Guests at the Barbon Inn will find a lovely village pub, with great food, and open fires on winter evenings, as well as lovely outdoor spaces when the weather allows.
