The Grainary offers great bed and breakfast accommodation for a visiting couple or family.
We’re located in Harwood Dale village that’s midway between Whitby, Scarborough and the North Work Moors National Park. The Grainary has been in the Simpson family name for over four generations and the history, not only of the farm, but of the area is there for all to see.
Our farmyard animals will also keep you thoroughly entertained. For the little ones we have a games room and outdoor play area. There’s ample parking for guests and a disabled access route has been developed.
We have 14 en-suite rooms available, each with its own colourful decoration. Rooms vary from single occupancy to doubles right through to pet friendly triples.
Each bedroom includes complimentary toiletries, daily housekeeping, Freeview TV and DVD player, tea/coffee making facilities, alarm clock and radio.
We have two special ground floor rooms for disabled guests. These include easy to access front doors and bathrooms with disabled-friendly toilets and shower facilities.
Our lovely tea room open at 11am and you can pop in for a hearty lunch or afternoon tea and scone. In the evening you can enjoy a delicious two or three course meal in the 4 star AA Dining Award restaurant where we serve some of the finest Yorkshire coast dishes.
We provide a holiday or weekend away with a difference. The views are breathtaking and our food is homemade and wholesome. Our working farm provides you with the chance to get up close and personal and meet our farmyard animals. There’s really no place like The Grainary and we can’t wait to welcome you into our home.
