Dating from 1535, Thorns Hall is a small manor house nestling at the foot of the Howgill Fells in the Yorkshire Dales and is an ideal location for a walking or activity holiday. Situated just a few minutes’ from the centre of Sedbergh, it offers lovely views and great walks from the doorstep.

The house retains its historic charm with cosy public rooms, wood panelling and open fires. It has 24 en-suite bedrooms, some in the main hall and others in tastefully converted outbuildings across the courtyard. All are equipped with a hairdryer, clock radio and tea and coffee making facilities. Meals are served in an informal, friendly atmosphere at tables for up to eight guests. Free internet access is offered on a dedicated PC and Wifi is available in some public rooms. The house has a 3-star Visit England rating, and free car parking is available.
