Ampleforth

Ampleforth is a village and civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, 20 miles north of York. The village is situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.

Ampleforth is perhaps best known for its Abbey and College. The Abbey was established as a monastery for Benedictine monks in 1802 and is regularly open to visitors for tours.
