Northallerton is a traditional Yorkshire market town, nestling between the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors. This is where you’ll find our most northerly branch, sited in a Grade II listed building. Located on the wide Georgian High Street – which is particularly bustling during the Wednesday and Saturday markets – Bettys Café Tea Rooms in Northallerton is a perfect base for exploring James Herriot country.
Walk through our well-stocked shop and you’ll find an elegant café and ‘Palm Room’, with a domed glass roof, huge window mirrors and a 3 metre high Chusan Palm. During the warmer months you can enjoy afternoon tea ‘al fresco’ in our walled courtyard.
With such beautiful surroundings, why not treat yourself or a loved one to Afternoon Tea? Gift Vouchers are available to purchase in any of our six shops, or by telephoning Bettys Customer Services Team on 01423 814008.
Against competition from a high standard of entrants, Bettys Northallerton scooped the Tea Guild’s prestigious award for Top Tea Place 2012 – the highest accolade in the tea world. The branch was voted into the top spot after a near perfect score from the Guild’s incognito inspectors who are all tea experts and judge each tea room against 16 categories of criteria.
