Description

Craven Museum and Exhibition Gallery can be found at Skipton Town Hall, a beautiful Victorian Grade II listed building sitting at the heart of this friendly and vibrant market town.

At Craven Museum you can connect with local characters and landscapes from the past. Some of the star objects on display include a copy of Shakespeare’s First Folio, a Roman Amethyst Intaglio and the Iron-Age Flasby Sword. The museum is fully accessible and family friendly.

Boasting a brand-new Education Room, Craven Museum is a great destination for School Trips. Educational tours and workshops can be arranged to suit your needs. Museum Store and research visits can also be arranged. Check the website for information on regular workshops and activities such as school holiday ‘Make & Take’ sessions.

The Gallery shows a changing programme of exhibitions from local and national artists and crafts people, as well as showcasing objects and art from the Museum collection. Look out for opportunities to get hands on with workshops and interactive elements to the shows.

The Museum Gift Shop offers a carefully curated and fun collection of treats and presents, including unique and locally produced crafts, educational gifts, books, homeware and souvenirs. Every purchase supports the work of Skipton Town Hall.
