One of the best family days out in Scarborough, we offer a host of attractions to keep the family entertained.

Ride the railway to Scalby Mills where you can stay on for a return ride or explore Scalby Mills and visit the Sea Life Centre, you can return later on our regular service. Now celebrating our 87th year, we have been operating trains since 1931, taking passengers for around ¾ mile from Peasholm Park to Scalby Mills Stations, offering beautiful views of Scarborough’s North Bay. Our new build steam locomotive was added in 2016 and runs on selected days throughout the summer season.

Our Lake Side attractions offer something for all ages. Experience the high-level thrills of the North Bay Railway’s Sky Trial Adventure, one of only a few in the country.  If you’re after an adrenalin rush, rise to the challenge around our 2 level rope bridge and beam course. The now  listed Historic Water Chute is one of only three water chutes in the UK. The kids will love having a go on the Water Walkers or hiring a paddle boat.

Relax and have a drink in Yorkshire’s smallest pub serving real ale.
