The Bull at Broughton has long been one of Yorkshire’s landmark pubs…famous as much for its hospitality as it is for its beautiful location. But now it’s about to become an even bigger attraction…as a Ribble Valley Inn…and with a menu specially created by Northcote’s Michelin Star chef, Nigel Haworth.
If you’re a regular at a Ribble Valley Inn, you’ll already know why we’ve scooped many of Britain ‘s top awards and people come back…again and again.
Today a visit to the Bull is a treat for the taste buds too. Summer offers al fresco dining on the rear patios overlooking the beautiful Broughton Hall Estate. Winter will bring blazing log fires. And every season promises fabulous walks…right on the doorstep of the magnificent Hall Estate, 3000 acres of rolling Yorkshire countryside and parkland known to film crews for lavish productions including Wuthering Heights.
Nigel, co-proprietor of RVI, and finalist of BBC2’s Great British Menu 2009 has been waiting for a chance to work with Yorkshire’s amazing farmers, growers and fine food suppliers…and the Bull is the perfect opportunity. And already he’s working on dishes that will be full of local tradition, but with a deliciously contemporary twist…the same formula which has brought countless top national awards to the first three Ribble Valley Inns.
It’s a simple philosophy. Work hand in hand with the pick of the local suppliers…harvest the freshest possible ingredients, create mouth-wateringly regional and classic dishes, add fine wines and a whole collection of regional cask ales…then invite everyone to enjoy the results.
