Lovely dog friendly pub. Called in for Sunday tea. Called in because it seemed to be the only place around we could get food. We were not disappointed, the food was amazing and the beer was great. Will definitely be calling back again. Very friendly atmosphere and we felt very welcome. Pub was very busy, I can see why, well worth calling in.

Fabulous hearty food. Even the steak pie meal for smaller appetites was a big portion. A good selection of vegetarian meals. Dog friendly. A lovely smiley young man waiting tables. A really good friendly atmosphere. Recommend.

Excellent straightforward local pub doing good food and beers. We were recommended to have Sunday Lunch here and were not disappointed! Not as 'posh' as the other two hostelries in Askrigg, perhaps, but none the worse for that. We enjoyed our food, chatted to a couple of local people and I enjoyed another pint! Closed on a Monday but worth trying any other time. A 5-star visit for me. I felt comfortable while there and would heartily recommend this pub.

A lovely pub with great atmosphere and food. Had Fish and chips, and the fish and batter were done to perfection. I am always disappointed with frozen chips with home-cooked food, but overall, the meal was good and I would eat here again. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Had a fantastic roast dinner today - all of it delicious, and with gravy so generous it nearly spilled over the plate. Magnificent πŸ‘Œ Lovely pint of bitter too. Thank you
