Description

Chapel End is a former Chapel in Bainbridge sitting at the southern end of the large village green with its old bell and clock. The garden overlooks the green and watches the world go by. It is furnished traditionally and full of book and games to while away the time, when not our walking the fells or browsing in the shops.

Bainbridge has the foundations of a Roman Fort and long steep Roman Road. It is 3 miles from Semmerwater and beside the River Bain for fishing. Hawes is 4 miles away to the West for shopping and Tuesday markets. There is a rope works and the Creamery making Wallace and Gromit cheese.

Askrigg, a mile away, is the former location for All Creatures Great and Small. To the East is Bolton Castle with its vineyard and maze.
