Tesco Cafe

Well we've just been for a sandwich and cuppa. Bearded lad on the till is to put it bluntly, rude. I asked for well done bacon. Stone cold. No staff interaction. Shocking. Won't be going back. Sort it out tesco

Absolutely gobsmacked this morning, we have had Tesco breakfast every morning 5/7 times a week for the last year now usually brilliant, but on Wednesday went in for usual breakfast for it to come, beans ice cold bacon and sausage freezing under cooked. Hash browns cooked on outside freezing in middle , I returned my breakfast as did 2 other separate customers as theirs were the same, waits further 25mins for a new breakfast but never came, so I went to ask for my money back as I had to go I’d ran out of time, to be told at the till you need your receipt for a refund(,I ordered on the machine which gave me a receipt to take to the till and pay cash,) I replied, I gave you my receipt from ordering as I paid cash . And you never gave me it back, so there was some discrepancy about the refund but was eventually given, so left it yesterday and returned back today, obviously food being wrong 1 time would not put me off, To be told this morning they can’t serve me no more as I’d complained, food as always been lovely but the staff are rude extremely rude and reading other reviews I see I’m not the only one who thinks so, I will say the small girl with brown hair is an absolute delight and was the only one to apologise!

Cafe located in Tesco Extra, Batley. Stopped off for a coffee (regular latte was huge) and had a breakfast too. Nice, clean and bright. Ideal for a convenient stop en route Breakfast for 2 and two coffees was round the £10 mark. Pictured is their big breakfast which was hot, tasty and not greasy.

Poached eggs on tast have never been so hard and cold. Only 1 lady on shift who worked her btm. off serving and collecting. Shame on you!!!

The food is very good but sadly there’s a problem with staff. The cafe needs people who actually want to be there and not people who look as if they’re clock watching and hating every minute that they have to spend in that cafe. They don’t really want customers. To actually bother to write a review takes some effort, yet despite other reviews equally referring to the rudeness and poor service given to customers by the staff, the management at Tesco appear to choose to ignore these comments. The staff in the cafe at worst need retraining in customer service, care and hospitality and at best need replacing.
