You can’t afford to miss the Heritage Trail when visiting this Georgian market town taking in the Palladian Bedale Hall and museum, St Gregory’s, the 12th century church named as one of the best in Britain. Take the time to visit the Leech House, the only one of its kind which was used by the local apothecary for storing leeches for medical use. You will be pleased to hear it’s no longer in use.
