Stitchy Buckle Alterations

So I have mixed feelings about this place. I sent an email to them asking about costs to alter a tuxedo jacket, they confirmed the price and that they could do the works. I specifically wanted to keep the 4 buttons on each sleeve the way it was originally. When I got there a couple of weeks later, I mentioned my email that I'd sent and brought my jacket. We got measured up and all seemed fine. The price did go up by a couple of quid from what they quoted but I let that slide. When I got called in to pick up the jacket, although the sleeves seemed to have been shortened okay, I noticed I only had two buttons on each sleeve. When I questioned them they said they said they didn't know and sewed them on right there and then. This wouldn't have been an issue but they were sewed on so poorly and unevenly spaced (top two buttons) that I've had to come home, undo what they did and redo it myself. Just a shame really. I understand having miscommunications etc but paying for shoddy sewing that I then have to fix just doesn't sit well.

Had my cycling bib shorts repaired. The padding had come unstitched. The lady that works here was very nice, the repair was carried out in just over a week, but it was over Easter. What an outstanding job she made of the stitching. It is super neat, looks bombproof, and only cost £10. Much better then spending £100 on another set of cycling shorts. I highly recommend.

I had a few pairs of trousers that I'd been waiting to get altered once the most recent lockdown ended and shops reopened. Went to Stitchy Buckle Alterations and I couldn't be happier; the service was so professional and friendly and the alterations are faultless! The price was so reasonable too. I will be returning again and again, that is for sure.

The lady is very friendly and does an excellent job. I had a garment done for £7.50 and it really was excellent. Highly recommend
