The Great Horton Singers use the hall here to rehearse on a Thursday night, it's spacious with a bar and tea room. Lots of other groups use the hall as well to put on shows. I've not been in the Church so I can't comment on that personally but I have been told it's a lovely, friendly place to worship.

This has been one of my backup churches for many years and I attend if I'm unable to visit my usual church where I sing in the choir. St Winefride's has always had a good community feel about it and people of all ages attend. This is the first church where I've been able to attend Mass since covid restrictions were eased. You have to book in advance, which can be done online via Eventbrite, or by telephone. If you're unable to book in advance you can turn up and be signed in if there's space. I felt perfectly safe on the two recent occasions I've been. Every other pew has been cordoned off, there is a one way system, and ushers guiding entrance and egress. Communion is brought to you in your pew so no crowding at the sanctuary. And all the usual restrictions are in place, including mask wearing and no singing, fonts, Blood of Christ, handshaking, etc. It's great to be able to attend Mass again.

Everyone is always welcome and the church is one of the few open through the day so if you need a quiet prayerful place you can go and worship there. It has lovely community links and a great social hall which has a bar for hire.
