This is a lovely store, absolutely packed with reasonably priced arts and craft materials, wool, toys, puzzles, stationery… The list is endless! Great choice and good prices! I usually go into The Works to buy their lovely notebooks and planners but today I needed some large postal bags. The member of staff I spoke to was lovely-polite, professional and knowledgeable; she made me feel valued as a customer even though I was only spending £1! A very different experience to how some other companies interact with customers. This is the perfect shop to visit if you are on holiday with a young family and it’s not beach weather; for just a few pounds you’ll find plenty to occupy your family until you can get back on the beach.

Me and my Mrs visited here today due to the obsession my Mrs has with reading. We bought a set which sadly book 3 of the set was not in stock. The lovely moment behind the till was in the middle of sorting delivery and went above and beyond to see if this book had come. Sadly it had not but the effort shown was nothing short of amazing. I did not get her name but she will k ow who she is. The book was called powerless Thank you again for the extra effort

Remember when WHSmith was fun to go to as a kid? Or maybe you just want to complete a jigsaw or make something arty but don't want to pay through the nose? I love The Works. I have been to many different branches and they seem to sell slightly different things and some shops are larger and some more cluttered but still thoughtfully displays so it isn't a jumble. This shop is a little more on the cluttered side but it excellent seaside shop if you are in Brid and want something to read or a little inexpensive toy to occupy the kids on the train. The staff are efficient and nice, always busy helping customers or tidying.

Great value. Stocks: books, stationary, puzzles, calendar, artists paint and equipment. The Bridlington store is a little cramped, no good for people with mobility issues. Otherwise a great shop!
