Spent a few moments at the Brighouse Canal basin this morning ....enjoying a coffee and taking in this wonderful site. Took this pic of the canal and Jeremy's by the Boathouse just before a breeze kicked up the glassy water. What a wonderful site. Really good place to rest a while in the rush of life and notice the special moments. Recommend a visit.
Really open, clean, plenty of seats and quiet. Tucked away a short walk from the town centre with very clise amenities. Was still drinking my coffee from the centre of town.
We came down here for a walk on a hot Friday afternoon and ended up getting some drinks after at Jeremy's. It's clean, there's lots of grassy areas with flowers and the water in the canal basin looks clean too. This is somewhere to have a quiet lunch or a picnic, lots of wild life too, you can here the birds into the night too. There are lots of canal barges and boats moored up here too. Definitely worth visiting and it's really close to Brighouse centre.
Lovely quiet day and my two dogs are watching the narrow boat come in and raising up and down and lovely weather and relaxing view and watching boats come in and out
Good for boaters' facilities. Some moorings between locks and good mooring for Sainsbury's supermarket. Central town location with most essential needs shops close by. Pretty town centre.
