The Burlington is one of Yorkshire’s finest hotel restaurants and in September, it was awarded 4 AA rosettes confirming that it’s among the best. Head Chef Paul Leonard, has been at the helm for over a year now after having honed his culinary expertise at other fine establishments including The Isle of Eriska and Gleneagles.

Located within The Devonshire Arms Hotel at Bolton Abbey, its modern British menus showcase Yorkshire’s food basket, where fresh seasonal ingredients are paramount, including home-grown roots, leaves, flowers, fruits and honey grown and harvested by Paul Leonard and his team, from the beehives and Victorian walled gardens on the Duke of Devonshire’s estate.

This, along with estate-reared meats and artisan cheeses, East Coast fish and seafood, home-baked breads and delicate patisserie, ensure that diners are in for a treat with dishes that excite all of the senses.

The wine cellars are legendary and award-winning, well-stocked with some extremely fine wines as well as those that offer quality and value, adding to this unforgettable dining experience.

Guests benefit from attentive and personal service, which is far from stuffy, via a motivated and knowledgeable team, who share their passion for fine dining and wines thereby helping them with their selections, and ensuring that their dining experience is seamless. 

The Burlington is renowned for its fine dining and elegant, classical style, it incorporates a traditional dining room, as well as a conservatory, wonderful on a summer’s evening, when guests may look out on the Italianate gardens with views over the Dales. Before dinner, enjoy aperitif in the cocktail lounge with live piano music and several lovely lounge seating areas to relax after dining with a nightcap.

Choose from a three or a nine-course tasting menu with optional wines. Vegetarian tasting menu is also available, Tues – Sun (7pm – 9pm)

  6. The winner will be selected at random.
