Most Christmas markets are not taking place this year and while this might be a disappointment to those that like to don their Christmas bobble hats and weave in and out of market stalls with the sound of Christmas carols in their ears it's an opportunity for many to embrace online shopping. Leeds Indie Shopping makes it so much easier to shop independent for your festive gifts. Whether you're looking to purchase something from your favourite local shop or bag a unique handmade gift through their Handmade Collective website, Leeds is sure to be the best place to shop this December. 

This Christmas, York Christmas Market is bringing a fantastic shopping experience to you, in your own home. The great news is you’ll still be able to browse some of the market’s classic shops and maybe even discover a new hidden gem or two.

The Saltaire Virtual Makers Fair promotes the best independent artists, makers and designers from across the UK. Discover contemporary and original creations including ceramics, jewellery, glass, silver, metal, books, paper, leather, wood, plastics, furniture, textiles, accessories, printmaking and photography.

The Piece Hall has an array of retailers offering a Click & Collect shopping service. Customers can collect their purchases from Thursday to Sunday between 10am and 2pm. They can even take a stroll around the Courtyard during these opening times and The Piece Hall Deli will serve takeaway non-alcoholic drinks and food. Sustainable food retail outlet ‘Just Gaia’ will also remain open to customers as an essential shop.
