Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Amy @Arte hairdressing and beauty for making my daughter feel like a million dollars on her prom night, the time and care you took with her hair and makeup was amazing, you listened to everything she wanted and delivered, I would definitely recommend if like me you have an exceptionally fussy teen bringing her here.

I have been going to Arte for about 9 years. I have always found everyone who works there very friendly and professional. I am happy for any of the stylists to cut and colour my hair because they have always done a fantastic job. The fact that I still go after 9 years is proof of that.

Went to Arte few months back as I wanted to change my black hair to a lighter colour. The stylist took a strand test but advised that they couldn't strip my hair due to the result of my strand test. I have since lightened my hair to a warm brown colour which is what I wanted. I have done this myself with bleach and it has lifted with no breakage and without damage to my existing hair. It is on this basis that I have decided to review this salon, giving 1star review. Any professional stylist in my opinion scared to touch black hair is not qualified to a high standard. Unsure why I was able to lighten my hair and they were unable to.

Having just been to see Kate at Arte for the third time, I'm quite confident in singing her praises. I went for the first time with a somewhat questionable cut from previous hairdresser (still not sure if it was just too fashionable for me, or really bad!) and Kate's 'troubleshooting' solutions well very well received and executed. I really like the fact that she asks about what I've liked and not liked since I saw her last, and translates that into the cut. I've been consistently pleased with the results, not just in the immediate, post-salon haze, but also for the weeks after. That's a special kind of skill!! No hesitation in recommending Arte to anyone, and would deinately encourage anyone on the fence to give it a try :)
