Best pub in Doncaster easily. Great atmosphere and they serve Caffreys which I haven't seen for years. Food varied and delicious and presentation looked amazing Staff friendly and interior looks nice as well as sports shown on live screen. Highly recommended.
Brillliant place... just called for a cheeky Sunday afternoon one... great bar, 3 outside drinking areas... good decorations n good atmosphere... my video is the upstairs terrace... very cozy Ooh, must mention the help/service from Robbie was outstanding xx
What can I say about our experience.... not great.... Told by management its not unlimited its only unlimited choices. All the rules are spelt out on your booking. Table of 11, we had 4 drinks and then were told we weren't allowed to order more as we had ordered too many. Then quoted that we had had too much. 'Quote from the manger 'you are taking the piss'. Scott and Elisha really rude. This was honestly was supposed to be a celebration for our friends birthday and wedding anniversary and it was ruined. The atmosphere wasnt great, 3rd time ive been on a Saturday and each time only one other table in / always been empty (maybe because of the service). Then, thanks to Natalie who saved the day, did reduce the price to standard package and gave shots and brill customer service. The others were defensive, rude and couldn't take the feedback. Next time we will chose S&L as better experience 😁🙏 #seephotoforemptydrinks #90minsofempties
First time there as heard about it from Friends, managed a drink on the rooftop bar in the sun ☀️ great having a bar upstairs! Managed to get a table for two and had the recommended Steak and Guinness Pie with Mash and peas, very filling and delicious 😋
A very popular pub in the market place. Positives: Nice interior, good amount of seating inside including some booths. Outdoor seating at the front, uncovered but a sun trap in the warmer months. Large bar area downstairs, good range of drinks. Bar staff are friendly and polite. Restaurant food is very good. Outdoor area at the back with large TV (there are also TV’s inside) There is also a rooftop bar, this is now covered temporarily during the winter months so is a perfect area that can be used all year round. There is a bar and toilet upstairs on the rooftop as well. There is a live singer a couple of times a week downstairs in the bar. Negatives: Often very busy, which has its pros and cons - The toilets are very small. The toilets have a person in them trying to sell squirts of aftershave and chewing gum! Not sure what else he sells but either way it’s very 1990’s and quite off putting. It also stops people washing their hands. There isn’t enough room to swing a cat in there, having this guy sat in the way is just ridiculous. The pub has a restaurant which I’ve listed as a positive as the food is very good, however the toilets (very small ones) are in the main corridor so you have to come out of the restaurant and into the narrow corridor which is always full of people drinking, then you queue in the toilets, whilst being stared at by the aftershave guy. Not a great experience for a different type of clientele that use the restaurant, especially those with kids, or older adults that wouldn’t really want to be exposed to that. Overall a great pub, very popular and busy, great location with great bar staff. I really wanted to give this 5 stars and I would if it wasn’t for the couple of negatives I pointed out.
