Postgate Inn

We didn't stay here, do cannot comment on the rooms. We had an evening meal, and the food was fab. We both had the monkfish and scallops dish on the main menu, but could have quite happily tried anything, it all sounded so good. Followed up with the offer of 3 of the puddings between us, again, perfect. I've seen comments that this pub is expensive, I would say it is great value for money. Properly cooked, well planned dishes, with no need to add any extras. Not the average pub food, (which I do also love!) this is more cheffy, in a very good way. Fresh, local ingredients, lots of choice, especially if you love fish. On top of all that, incredibly friendly and welcoming. Oh, and dog friendly as well!

This was everything I want in a pub… ideal!! Super friendly Bar Man, really cosy tables and environment. Such a welcoming place. The food was outstanding. We also took our children in and they made smaller portions of the menu or offered a children’s menu. Thank you!!

Had dinner here whilst we were camping nearby and had the most fabulous meal. Great atmosphere, lovely service and wonderful food, definitely the most delicious fruit crumble I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend!

I love this pub. This is a proper country pub which is nice inside and outside. The food was amazing as was the beer. The staff were helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you The food was locally sources and freshly cooked. Lots to see in the local area. Worth travelling to get to and enjoy a pint and meal.

Didn't score the rooms as we didn't stay. It's located in a very small lovely village. We dined in the bar as we had a dog. It's a very bizarre place. The food that they put out I would argue is Michelin standard however it looks anything but. If you like/understand food then you really really need to go here. The serving staff and they chef are amazing however they'd not enough of them so there is a long wait between courses. The fact the food is that good I let it slide but only because the food is that good. Go try it
