Description
Welsh soprano and Opera North regular Fflur Wyn is accompanied by Head of Music David Cowan for an exploration of folk-inspired songs from around Europe and North America.
Many composers weave traditional folk melodies into their works, and this concert showcases Dvořák’s Gypsy Songs, Ravel’s Greek Songs, Copland’s Old American Songs and Brahms’ German Folk Songs, as well as traditional English and Welsh folk settings.
Competitively priced pre-concert light lunches are available from 11.30am at the Main Hall.
