Brought to you by North Yorkshire Library Service and Yorkshire and North East Film Archives, these five screenings will explore how nature has been used, abused and lived alongside. It will ask questions of what we have done to our fellow species, what are we doing now, and how can we adapt our behaviors and habits to create a more equitable space.

These screenings will be presented by a member of the Yorkshire Film Archive who will take you on a journey through our archives, exploring the idea of a changing climate of Yorkshire and the North East. You will see themes that traverse time: from weather, wildlife, access to land, pollution, and activism.

How has the climate changed? What might it look like in the future? And what role does film play in telling this narrative?

This screening is part of the Yorkshire and North East Film Archives new ‘Nature Matters’ project which is supported by National Lottery Heritage Fund, and North Yorkshire Libraries Beyond Carbon year long initiative.

This film show is happening at Selby Library , running from 7pm – 9pm
