An iconic airshow filled with the sights and sounds of those bygone days of Spitfires, Hurricanes and Mustangs to name just a few. Over 50 aircraft take to the sky above the old wartime base of ex RAF Church Fenton, once home to the very first Eagle Squadron pilots in WW2, commemorating those legendary aircraft and people who sacrificed so much.
Over 3 hours of superb choreographed display scenarios, including a mass Spitfire Scramble, and other imaginative sequences culminating in the world famous Balbo finale flypast.
On the ground there is plenty to do and see including a Vintage Village with live music from The Hotsie Totsie’s 1940’s style trio, plenty of re enactors, The Screaming Eagles, Laurel and Hardy and their Model T Ford, a swing dance troupe, and a stunning display of model aircraft and many more ground exhibits.
See and view the aircraft at close quarters on the Flight Line Walk, free to all during the mornings of Flying Legends.
Plenty of space to move around, select your preferred food and drinks from a range of street food vendors, and plenty of places to sit and relax and watch the action above.
