Description
The performance will include a lively mix of Western and Nepali music, a selection of rousing military tunes, and will feature the famous ‘Kukri dance’.
This year, the concert will be raising funds to refurbish Shree Surya Primary School in the village of Yang Myang. Whilst the school is facilitating primary level education, the lack of basic maintenance and infrastructure means the school is in a poor condition. The school comprises of one L ‘shaped’ building with six small classrooms which was built with stone, mud and stone roof some decades ago. Due to the wear and tear of walls and other infrastructure, leakage of water inside the classroom during the monsoon, dust and dirt during the dry season is quite common. The proposal and plan is to erect a new building with three classrooms.
