East Row Car Park

Close to the Sandsend beach. A small deli close by, with ceramic store, which was closed when I visited. A few cafes, fairly good prices

Arrived at the carpark and it was very busy, waited in a long queue as someone wanted a spot being vacated by another. Went round the carpark another loops as the family were very disappointed not to be able to go to the beach. Got a £100 parking fine through post. Appealed thinking common sense would prevail as I could oy have parked left the vehicle and returned in the time but appeal not listened to. Money grabbers!

I was charged a penalty . I thought the first hour was free ? The camera is saying I was two minutes over , I know I checked my car clock and I was five minutes early ! I am not going to pay they are not enforceable . Many people were complaining too the machine wasn’t working not giving tickets out either so no point in the hassle .

Fined for being 5 minutes over - now taken to Gladstone Solicitors and charging me £160. Avoid this car park.

Ensure the ticketing machine is working correctly, get a receipt and keep it. I didn't read mine till I got home and checked the payment had cancelled, even though the screen showed all successful, did I want receipt and yes unfortunately I ended up with a fine. Moral take my reading glasses, next time receipt print is 2mm
