Festival Highlights

The Spiegeltent Festival 2026, in association with Ogden of Harrogate—one of the UK’s most renowned family jewellers—will feature a captivating lineup that includes cabaret, rock, burlesque, dance, and, of course, jazz. Camilla George, an award-winning saxophonist and composer, has taken on the role of Guest Curator for this year’s festival. Born in Nigeria and now a key figure in London’s jazz scene, George is known for blending African and Western musical traditions. She expressed her excitement about the festival, stating, “I am so excited to be this year’s guest curator. It is a huge honour and I am looking forward to bringing a fantastic programme of music to Harrogate!”

Musical Line-Up

On 3 July, Camilla George will perform with her band, showcasing music from her latest album, Ibio-Ibio. This performance is highly anticipated, as George is celebrated for her dynamic and innovative approach to jazz.

The festival also features a diverse range of other artists. Among them is Lucy-Anne Daniels, a rising star in the UK jazz scene.

At just 23 years old, Daniels has already performed at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall during the BBC Proms and has made her mark at the iconic Ronnie Scott's jazz club. She will perform on 2 July, presenting unreleased music from her upcoming album, which promises to captivate audiences with her unique voice and engaging stage presence.

Supporting her will be pianist Alex Ho and alto saxophonist Donovan Haffner, who was recently recognised as Jazz Newcomer of the Year at the UK Parliamentary Jazz Awards.

Another highlight of the festival is the Jess Gillam Trio. Led by the celebrated saxophonist Jess Gillam, who made history as the youngest soloist to perform at the Last Night of the Proms, this trio will bring a mix of lesser-known pieces and fresh interpretations of popular classics. Jess, a Classic BRIT Award winner and MBE for her services to music, is known for her engaging performances that bridge classical and contemporary styles.

Supporting Young Talent

This year’s festival is particularly special as it marks a new partnership with Tomorrow’s Warriors, a charity dedicated to nurturing young artists from diverse backgrounds. Camilla George, an alumnus of Tomorrow’s Warriors, emphasises the importance of this collaboration:

“We will be showcasing some amazing musicians as well as shining a light on the fantastic work that Tomorrow’s Warriors have been doing which has truly changed the face of UK jazz. It’s going to be an unmissable Festival!”
