Popped in to purchase a A9 5th gen met with Richard customer service was brilliant very knowledgeable end up buying a harmony

Contacted Richard at the store to purchase a pair of Beolab 8's and got a very good deal on an ex-display set. Richard was really friendly and helpful and what an excellent store to visit with so much temptation on offer. Speakers are amazing so thanks for your help Richard and will probably see you next year once my wallet has recovered.

Terrible customer service - I went in earlier today with a set of headphones that needed repairing as it states on their google description 'Electronics retail and repair shop in Harrogate' and 'Service options: Offers repair services.' When I entered the store I said to the gentleman that was working there that I had a set of headphones I was looking to have repaired and the first thing he asked was what make are they? (How belittling when going into a Bang and Olufsen store - I wonder if I would have been treat the same if I did not have a uniform on as I didn't quite meet the usual standard of customer??) After showing him that I did in fact have a set of Bang and Olufsen headphones he asked if they were under warranty - I explained that they are not, but they seem to be disconnecting after around 5 seconds of use. I was then informed that they do not really repair headphones after they run out of warranty but went on to explain to me that I could buy a new pair (granted great sales training!!) but these particular headphones actually hold a certain sentimental value so I told him that I was actually just looking to have them repaired as i had seen on the internet that they do repairs. I was then questioned about where i saw it stated that they do repairs as if I was lying and told that he would like to see that - he obviously hasn't googled the shop he works in as stated before - it is on their main description. I was then informed that they have somewhere in Leeds that they send their items for repair but they are not an official B and O affiliated repair shop (surely they don't just send their work to some shop down the road to have if fixed! not what i was expecting from such a 'high end' brand) but they don't usually repair things like headphones so they may not be able to do anything. He then went on to explain that no other audio manufacturer offers repairs once the warranty runs out (this is not my experience of another high end audio manufacturer by the way!) and once again confirmed that mine are out of warranty. Such a shame as when I bought them from this store the service was much better - it looks like they are only trained to sell rather than offer after sales customer care (although ironically, the last review that was posted was about someone being so happy with their headphones being repaired - maybe they weren't wearing a work uniform!)

I visited Bang & Olufsen Harrogate for my birthday this month hoping to buy either H95 headphones or Beolit 20 speaker. Went into the store twice and met manager Richard and installation manager Mark and v good service both times. I ordered the headphones which arrived within 24 hrs at my home. A good location and 5star service. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

I have bought more than 3 items (tv, speaker & headphones) from this store over the years and I have always been really happy with the products and the level of service that I have received from Richard there. I will continue to buy through him in the future as he has always made me feel really welcome and his product knowledge is superb. Definitely reconmend.
