Harrogate Ghost Walk

I joined the Haunted Harrogate Ghost Tour (Route C) led by Paul Forster, author of Haunted Harrogate, and it was an exceptional experience. Paul blends meticulous research with engaging storytelling, offering a perfect balance between British history, architectural beauty, and the ghostly accounts that make Harrogate truly fascinating. These are not mere legends — they are stories gathered from real witnesses who once shared their experiences with him, combined with his own investigations into documented sightings from the Victorian era, the 1920s, and wartime Harrogate. Along the way, he highlights stunning buildings and explains the history and design behind them, helping you appreciate the town in a deeper, more meaningful way. It was an unforgettable evening — intelligent, entertaining, and suitable for all ages. I can’t wait to explore Routes A and B and continue reading Haunted Harrogate. Both the tour and the book are absolute musts for anyone who loves history, architecture, and a touch of the supernatural.

We enjoyed a fantastic, spooky Halloween Evening with Paul and The Harrogate Ghost Walk - he held our full attention and has clearly worked so hard with historical and folklore research. He dealt really well with distractions. He has a fantastic ability to entertain and educate - whilst showing respect for the Spiritual beliefs too. He certainly makes people think. We really enjoyed the interactive parts and the Victorian Parlour demonstration at the end. Paul has a brilliant sense of humour - we loved every minute and can not wait to take part in one of the other fantastic tours very soon. Excellent value - thank you so much.

I attended the tour on the 31st March with my friend. I had followed the tour on Instagram for a while and was really looking forward to visiting. I am pleased to say I was not disappointed. Paul is an excellent story teller and has really worked hard to create the tour and bring it to life with genuine history and stories collected from real life events and locals of Harrogate. As a fellow tour guide in another city he most certainly is a man after my own heart when it comes to real passion and research for his work. The séance bell used to contact spirits was also a refreshing difference to other tours I've seen over the years too. Paul is extremely approachable, friendly and helpful. And may I say, I absolutely loved his costume. Very dapper indeed. Will definitely return for another one of his events one day. 100% recommend. As locals to the area, we though this would be a fun way to spend the evening. We were not wrong, very entertaining- Paul was a superb host! Very interesting mix of paranormal stories and some local history. Highly recommend!!!

This was a fun, family-friendly ghost tour. Paul is an excellent host and guide inviting his guests to fall in love with the spooky side of Harrogate. I highly recommend you add this to your visit to discover more about the area.
