What a beautiful building to exhibit Liz West's H.A.P.P.Y exhibition. As you enter through the gorgeous doors and past the foyer, the Promenade Room invites you to immerse yourself in the main exhibit Our Colour Perception. Against the backdrop of Cherry Seraph's Sunlight in A Major, you feel immediately welcomed into a warm, colourful and thought provoking space. The Happy Lab behind the exhibit is wonderful for children and teens. The artwork was delightful and the gallery space is beautiful. Entry free (donations welcome), plenty of loos, a baby changing area and a water station.
This is a great place to visit with a huge variation of artists and styles. Entry is free and there is a donation box. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in The staff were very welcoming and helpful and there is a gift shop with a good range of products.
A little gem in Harrogate, we visited this gallery when there was an exhibit by an artist who focused on famous folk and their dogs. Wonderful! I cannot imagine anything better. Well presented, lots of other things to see and some activities as well.
Friendly welcome from staff. Sorry not to be able to see the permanent collection, but the New Light exhibition is full of exciting contemporary artists.
A lovely art gallery. Free entry. Adrift on a Painted Sea art exhibition was quite emotive for me as Tim Bird shares about his mom, Sue Bird, who enjoyed painting and their life together especially towards her end in life. It made me think that it is enough to paint/draw for myself. It does not have to be anything more than that.
