My allotment is next to this park. Unfortunately, on what was a beautifully sunny day on Sunday 14th May, there was a group having a BBQ in the park. Which I'm not sure is legal. Then a row erupted between a man and one of the group. Every other word was the f-word. Both were shouting at the top of their voices. Very poor conduct, for a kids playground sadly. Went on for about 30 minutes minimum. Spoilt the tranquility of a lovely afternoon. ☹️
Its a shame rough kids are wrecking this lovely park by vandalism to the equipment and throwing rubbish about. Went with my 2 boys aged 7 and we left before they had finished playing because a group of 9 9/10 year old were rampaging the place, riding bikes around and the language..........! Really sad, dread to think what adults they will make.
Brilliant park! So many things to do next to a massive playing field. The park has a variety of things to go on and the playing field surrounding the park is the perfect place to walk your dog! Definitely worth visiting.
Not much to say really. I'll have a go though.😁 It's a small plot of ground that the council gave to the community. The local community have done an Amazing job of bringing an empty patch of ground back to life. The Community have planted flowers trees layed paths cut the grass and hedges made a compost area. A local business round the corner (Smithers) Provided the seating and benches which were created from recycling plastic. People use it for having there lunches in or to have a chill as they pass through it. For people that dont have a garden it's a lovely space to have a bit of quite time. The community are all volunteers and have done an Amazing job. Well done.
