We visited Hebden Bridge last week and I was very intrigued by the online reviews for this place and thought they sounded too good to be true, but I can report that in fact they didn't come close to capturing just how fantastic this place is. The almond croissant was extraordinary, and the honey and sea salt bun was absolutely incredible, and both were enormous. It's very rare that somewhere lives up to its hype, but genuinely, Mother exceeded all my expectations.
I absolutely love a good croissant so I am beyond delighted to find that I can walk 5 minutes on a Saturday morning and buy golden brown puffy and flaky croissants that are crusty on the outside and springy on the inside. Unusually in Hebden Bridge, there was a long cheerful line of people keen to get their Mother bread and croissants. Thank you MOTHER!
Finally a well made sourdough for sale in Hebden Bridge. Simple shop. Sells breads, a few pastries and sometimes well filled chunky sandwiches. A queue to buy. Says something.
The best sourdough, the best almond croissant, the best cinnamon bun, the best pain suisse. The end.
Amazingly good sourdough bread and fab croissants too. Be prepared to queue.
