Thought Bubble Festival, Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate

Thought Bubble Festival, Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate

Thought Bubble started out as a small event in 2007 in the basement of Leeds Town Hall. Now in its 13th year, it is the biggest festival of its kind in the UK, welcoming international artists and visitors from around the world.

The week-long event is a celebration of everything to do with comics, illustration, animation and more. All across Yorkshire there will be exhibitions, workshops, reading and drawing events, parties, screenings and quizzes.

The festival prides itself on being friendly, so whether you’re a lifelong fan of comic art or have never picked up a graphic novel before, you’ll be welcomed with open caped arms.

Unique amongst other comic festivals, the creators are kept at the heart of everything, showcasing the work and people that inspire this diverse cultural landscape.

The main attraction is the comic con, which runs this weekend – in its new home of Harrogate Convention Centre for the very first time.

On 9th & 10th November, over 500 guests and artists from the world of comic art will be descending on the town and meeting their fans.

There will be something for everyone - from independent comics and beautiful illustrations to the creators of world-famous superheroes and film franchises. Visitors can take part in panel talks, family activities, guest signings and costume parades!

Guests include the creators of The Walking Dead, Judge Dredd, Batman, X-Men, Captain Marvel, Star Wars, Venom and many more!
