It’s something of an odd claim to fame, but with Guy Fawkes originating from Yorkshire, the region can perhaps lay claim to bonfire night entirely?!
While that might be a stretch, it’s certainly true that Yorkshire does November 5th as well as anyone else in the UK and the rest of the world… if not better. Think parkin and pie and peas, and all the yummy Yorkshire treats which come out on bonfire night.
